
How To Consign Your Horse
If you would like to consign your horse(s) to the Sundance Select Horse Sale, you can submit your consignment one of two ways : email your horse's information, pictures, and link to your video to sundanceselecthorsesale@gmail.com OR fill out the consignment form below.
Content Needed
4 Pictures Minimum - 1 conformation photo saddled or unsaddled REQUIRED. Please email additional photos to sundanceselecthorsesale@gmail.com.
A Thorough Write Up - Tell your horse's story to your best ability. Be sure to include age, height, and breeding.
Sale Video - This video needs to be no longer that 4 minutes and should not contain any music. Please upload the video to YouTube and send us the link.
Paperwork Needed
Current Coggins - All horses are required to have a coggins test current within six months of sale date.
CVI or Brand Inspection - Horses traveling from outside of Wyoming to the sale will need a CVI or Brand Insoection within 2 weeks from Sale Day.
Registration Paperwork - You must turn in registration papers including a signed transfer when you check in for the sale. Horse's that have registration papers without a signed transfer will sell grade.
Consignor Conditions

Consignment Submission: With the specific nature of the event, limiting the sale to approximately 100 head, in order for your horse to be considered for this sale, all required information, including required pictures and video, must accompany the initial consignment submission. Horse sale management will make final consignor selection for this sale on or before July 20, 2025, notifying the consignors if their horse has been selected. Submitting a consignment provides no guarantee that the submitted horse will be selected to be in the sale. Final decisions with regards to the selected horses will solely be determined by management.

Consignment Fee: There is a $250 Consignment Fee per horse. Consignment Fees are nonrefundable once horse is accepted. Non-refundable includes but is not limited to a vesicular stomatitis quarantine or country pandemic that would keep the sale from taking place or any act of God. If your horse is accepted, we will notify you by phone and email no later than July 20, 2025. Consignment fee must be paid in full by July 25, 2025 or your spot will be forfeited.

Commission: All sellers will be charged 8% of the final accepted bid or $500 whichever is greater.

Private Sales: Absolutely no private sales in the yards before or after the auction. All horses brought to the sale are required to go through our auction ring. Any horses “no sold” in the ring but sold outside are expected to report it to the office. We will leave it up to the integrity of the seller to make sure this happens so the seller will be welcome back to the sale.

Registration Papers: When your horse is accepted, original registration papers and fully signed transfers are required to be turned in to the sale office when you arrive at the sale in order to call the horse registered.

Pulling From Sale: If a horse is pulled from the sale (scratched) there will be a pulled fee of $500. In order to waive the pulled fee, the seller is required to provide Sundance Select Horse Sale with a vet release explaining why the horse cannot sell at the sale along with a video of injury or sickness.

Preview: Consignor agrees to have horse(s) in all events including but not limited to: try before you buy preview, formal preview, and sale. We have two previews: try before you buy and the formal preview. Be ready when it’s your turn. If your turn is missed, you will be moved to the bottom. If you are not there to preview at the end, your horse will be sifted from the sale.

Payment: Consignor understand that if Sundance Select Horse Sale does not get paid by the buyer for their sale horse(s) then Sundance Select Horse Sale is not obligated to pay the consignor. All checks will be written within 5 days of sale date and made payable to owner listed then mailed to the address you provide at nomination. Please be patient when waiting for your check to arrive. Seller can request to have their check balance wired to them minus $100 wire transfer fee. Seller’s final balance will be wired minus $100 total in fees.

Vet Inspection: Each horse consigned will have a Vet Inspection preformed the morning of the sale to check that the horse is healthy and sound. If a horse does not meet the Sale's standards, it will be pulled.

Seller’s Guarantee: Horse should be able to pass a full vet check, or otherwise noted in the catalog. All horses will be guaranteed within 72 hours from the end of the sale. The seller is responsible for any and all guarantees. Except as otherwise announced by the auctioneer, the consignor warrants the following: 1) Title of the horse is free and clear; 2) The animal is sound of eyes, wind and limb; 3) The animal is not a cribber, windsucker, stall weaver or parrot mouthed; 4) The animal has not been nerved or have navicular disease or is foundered; 5) The sex or condition as a gelding or ridgeling is as described in the sale catalog or announced at time of sale. If any of these conditions are announced, the consignor is held harmless for the condition. Seller consents to list any cosmetic blemishes that do not affect the horse’s soundness (scars, chewed tail, cinch sores, bumps, etc.) in the description of the horse. Buyer & seller understand and agree that Sundance Select Horse Sale is not responsible to perform any inspection or to independently confirm or verify the soundness of seller’s horse. Buyer & seller understand and agree that Sundance Select Horse Sale is unaware of the condition of seller’s horse, and therefore is relying solely upon representations made by seller regarding the condition of the horse and that the horse is sound in order to advertise and market the stated condition of the seller’s horse before and during the sale.

Additional Fees: All consignors will be charged a $50 Yardage/Stall Fee and a $45 Vet Inspection Fee per horse.

Video Requirements: All videos must be a minimum of 3 minutes long and should not exceed 4 minutes. All videos must be uploaded to YouTube ONLY and submitted via the corresponding URL link or emailed to our sale office at sundanceselecthorsesale@gmail.com. No RAW video files will be accepted at any point. Videos are not required for nomination; however, you may provide one (1) link in the nomination form. Additional video deadlines for consignments will be outlined upon selection.

Photo Requirements: All horses MUST have PROFESSIONAL quality photos at the time of nomination. A minimum of four pictures is required and one MUST be a sideways conformation photo (saddled or unsaddled). High resolution images must be submitted via the online form or emailed to our sale office. Photos should be at least 1 MB minimum and under 5 MB maximum in size. Pictures are subject to selection. If images are of low-quality, we will require additional pictures or the horse will not be considered.
