Maximus is, in my opinion, the most beautiful black blanketed Appaloosa in the universe. He stands a solid 15hh and weighs over 1150 lbs. We bought Maximus in Mandan, ND when he was just 3 months old. He was sent to a trainer for 60 days as a 2-year-old and has been my wife’s personal PET ever since. However, the best way to describe him is green for his age. She has only ridden him about 10 to 12 times in the past year and a half. Even though he’s still a little green, you will never have the opportunity to buy a horse with a more people-friendly and willing personality. He has been Ida Faye’s go to ride that has anything to do with working or roping cattle. He moves of your legs or neck reins very well and goes through the obstacle course with ease. Ida Faye has used him in ranch rodeo’s and team ropings all summer at least twice a week all summer and he has preformed flawlessly! He is not gentle enough for inexperienced riders but excels in the working ranch world! He had a crooked hoof growing on his left front but with some good corrective shoeing he has made lots of progress. He has although never took a lame step and never been sore after we used him!
